Carpenter Job Description

Job Summary

At MAPLE LEAF MARINAS HOLDINGS GP INC., we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and construction, with the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
  • Maintaining, repairing and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The Carpenter will be required to work in a variety of settings, including indoors and outdoors, and may be exposed to physically demanding conditions.


Experience

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the trade, with a strong background in woodworking and construction.


Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work setting: Various locations.
  • Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
  • Employment status: Permanent.
  • Language of work: English.
  • Working hours: 35 hours per week.
