Salon Manager Job Description

At Magicuts, we're looking for a talented Salon Manager to lead our team with style, kindness, and compassion. As a Salon Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the salon, managing all operations and providing leadership and tools for success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example, helping your staff increase their clientele and the business.
  • Focus on the profitability of the salon and teach stylists the ins and outs of business.
  • Set the example and provide all hair care services offered by Magicuts, ensuring the highest quality for each guest.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to bring out the best in salon employees, creating a positive work environment.
  • Hire, recruit, train, and handle conflicts and client complaints with ease and professionalism.
Requirements:
  • Lead by example, with customer service at your core and the ability to resolve challenges with professionalism.
  • Bring out the best in others by being the best yourself, training, developing your team, and creating a positive work environment.
  • Have a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Be tech savvy and able to perform administrative tasks.
  • Have basic math skills and be able to read and write.
  • Be available to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel.
Physical Requirements:
  • Have good eyesight to observe a guest's hair, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Be comfortable with lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.
  • Be okay with fragrances and chemicals used in treatments.
