About the Role

This position is responsible for helping the customer succeed while achieving specific team and individual sales and profit goals set by the company. Individuals in this position will provide an exceptional level of business-to-business (B2B) sales consultation, account management, customer service, and innovative solutions that differentiate Sysco in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Articulate and Demonstrate the Sysco Value Proposition

Engage and onboard new customers to Sysco products, services, and promotions using consultative selling methods.

Strategic Account Planning

Develop new business, grow account portfolio, and retain customer accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory.

Evaluate Customer Business Needs

Analyze market trends to develop customer-centric product and service solutions.

Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

Stay informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.

Sales Technology and Business Resources

Utilize proprietary CRM tools for planning and forecasting sales growth.

Credit and Accounts Receivables Management

Manage customer accounts and ensure timely payment.

Pricing Management and Strategy

Oversight of pricing management and strategy for the territory.

Activity Tracking and Results

Collaborate on opportunities and champion the team selling process through use of Salesforce.

Autonomy and Flexibility

Work independently to support and successfully meet customer needs.

Food Safety and Environmental Responsibility

Comply with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality, and legality requirements are met.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 Years' Experience in Sales
  • Post-Secondary Education or Equivalent Experience
  • Proven Ability to Cultivate Relationships and Grow Sales
  • Strong Financial and Business Acumen
  • Consultative Selling, Networking, and Negotiation Skills
  • Business and Restaurant Operations Acumen
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Ability to Influence Stakeholders
  • Ability to Express Information in Terms of Profit and Loss
  • Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills
  • Ability to Learn Proprietary CRM Tools
  • Ability to Understand and Manage Compliance to Contracts
  • Solid Analytical Problem-Solving Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications Suite
  • Valid Driver's License and Access to a Vehicle
