Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Grade 7 Teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes in West Kelowna, BC. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and safe learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Grade 7 students in a part-time capacity (0.4 FTE)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to create a supportive community
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve academic and spiritual goals
  • Support students with exceptional needs through differentiated instruction
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in education

Requirements:

  • BC Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of application for certification)
  • Commitment to Catholic Education and identification with a Catholic parish
  • Understanding of the Early Learning Framework of BC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and use discretion when dealing with confidential matters
