We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Buying professional to join our team at Andrews. As an Associate Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in developing solutions with resilience, innovation, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vendor Engagement: Foster and maintain strategic relationships with a diverse range of vendors and internal stakeholders, emphasizing collaboration, performance assessment, and negotiation.
- Market Analysis and Product Strategy: Engage in comprehensive market research and trend analysis, contributing to the development of product strategies that reflect market demands and customer preferences.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Product Sourcing and Procurement: Implement product strategies through careful selection and procurement processes, balancing creativity with commercial viability.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of purchase orders and inventory for your vendors, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and strategic objectives.
- Performance Analysis and Adaptation: Continuously monitor and analyze market and sales performance, adapting buying strategies to optimize results.
- Communication of Buying Insights: Effectively communicate buying insights and product knowledge across the organization, tailoring the information for specific teams such as marketing, in-store retail associates, and the e-commerce team.
- Operational Oversight: Manage and monitor operational aspects including markdown strategies, inventory control, and general administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years Buying and Budget Management experience in aspects such as assortment strategy, physical and digital merchandising planning, and execution.
- Financial planning and budgeting experience, including budget and open-to-buy budget management.
- Vendor management and analysis experience, including trend forecasting, product research, brand matrix, consumer behaviors, and competitive benchmarking.
- Inventory management experience, including replenishment and stock level management.
- Brand and product launch management experience.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Project Management skills (preferred).
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365 Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced).
- Workflow management tools, such as Asana (preferred).
- Shopify platform (working to proficient).
- Performance and dashboard reporting (preferred).
