About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at SRS Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations and finishes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a professional look.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a sturdy installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing.
  • Permanent employment with a reputable company.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 35 hours per week of work.
