Ocado Logistics is a pioneering robotics and artificial intelligence company that's revolutionizing the way we work. As a Senior Robotics Software Developer, you'll be part of a team that's pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI robotics.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize algorithms for advanced robotic products
  • Implement new control algorithms and experiment with physical hardware
  • Validate mathematical models, new parameters, and algorithms through simulation runs
  • Investigate new technologies, identify bottlenecks, and improve processes for robotics software development and research
  • Mentor and grow junior team members, interns, and peers

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with Python, C, and/or C++ programming languages
  • Experience modeling robotic manipulators and understanding of control algorithms for robotic systems
  • Knowledge of learning-based algorithms and their application to robotic systems
  • Experience working with robotic sensors, such as cameras and force sensors
  • Ability to work in a team, transfer knowledge, and mentor

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering with a focus on robotics or similar experience
  • Experience with simulation tools, such as Matlab
  • Experience with adaptive, optimal, and learning-based control for robotic manipulation
  • Familiarity with robotic applications involving contact with the environment and manipulation
  • Experience working with different robotic grippers and using physics-based simulation to develop robot control policies
  • Experience with real-time control
