Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist I to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a Medical Radiation Technologist I, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis.
- Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
- Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment, including general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, and fluoroscopy where required.
Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience in General Radiography (GR) and enhanced CT exams.
- CTIC or working towards certification.
