Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at CB Canada. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various electronic systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of electronic components and systems.
  • Record all maintenance activities in our electronic maintenance information system (MIS).
  • Prepare and submit reports to our institutional representatives as required.
  • Conduct annual inventory checks of electronic security systems, their major components, and major spare parts.
  • Inspect and test items returning from repair facilities to ensure they are operational and meet relevant quality parameters.
  • Comply with all local safety and security rules and regulations.
  • Provide technical support to other team members as needed.
  • Be available for on-call services after regular hours as per the local on-call schedule.
  • Submit reports to the Regional Supervisor.
  • Stay up-to-date with newly installed systems and equipment to ensure effective management.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a college degree from a technology program or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of communications in GP test equipment, commercial and personal computers, and their peripherals, as well as IT support and network operations.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are an asset.
  • Working at heights (Fall Arrest), First Aid, Confined Space, and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
  • A good understanding of RF, CATV, CCTV, PA/intercom, and automated control systems is an asset.
  • French is essential; bilingualism is an asset.
