Your Role
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Yellowknife, NT team. As a key member of our Northern Canada Business Unit, you'll play a critical role in supporting project delivery and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide project delivery support to assigned Project Managers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with community leaders, stakeholders, and design and construction professionals to plan and implement capital building and infrastructure projects.
- Support Indigenous communities in fostering economic growth through strategic land planning, land development, and business development initiatives.
- Assist and support various orders of government in emergency preparedness and recovery efforts after climate-related disasters.
- Travel to project sites and remote communities may be required on occasion.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, with exposure supporting project delivery in fields such as construction, engineering, abatement and remediation.
- A technical certification or diploma in Engineering or Construction (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
- Familiarity with codes, regulations, contracts, construction administration, and site inspections.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A client-focused approach with excellent customer service abilities.
- Experience in fostering long-term client relationships and collaborating with community governments and Indigenous groups.
