Job Title: ABA Program Manager

Job Summary:

PALS Autism Society – School Program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ABA Program Manager to oversee the clinical program in our school facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising students' skill acquisition programs, consulting with SLP and OT when necessary, and providing training to new and existing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise skill acquisition programs, including training staff to implement with fidelity, creating subsequent targets via task analysis, and troubleshooting if students demonstrate difficulty with mastery.
  • Consult with SLP and OT when their area of expertise is required in certain programs.
  • Supervise disruptive classroom behaviours, including defining behaviours, developing Behaviour Intervention Plans based on functional behaviour assessment methods, and collecting raw behaviour data.
  • Provide training to new and existing PALS staff, update training manual as needed, and run workshops for staff Professional Development.
  • Contribute feedback to formal and informal staff performance evaluations.
  • Lead scheduled meetings with staff to review new or updated skill acquisition programs and/or Behaviour Intervention Plans.
  • Assist with scheduling staff to ensure safe staff-to-student ratios in place for school and community activities.
  • Promote awareness, acceptance, and community relationships for the school.

Qualifications:

  • Current Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • At least 1 year experience overseeing ABA programming for children, adolescents, and young adults with autism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as administrative, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform functional behaviour assessments, define behaviours, develop Behaviour Intervention Plans, create data collection systems, graph, and analyze data.
  • Experience supporting learners who use augmentative and alternative communication.
  • Experience training and supporting Behaviour Interventionists using Behaviour Skills Training.
  • Ability to work with learners across the whole autism spectrum, including students with dangerous behaviour.
  • Ability to provide supervision to practicums obtaining BACB experience hours (asset, not requirement).
  • On the Registry of Autism Service Providers - RASP, or have qualifications to gain this designation (asset, not requirement).
