Henderson Partners LLP is seeking a skilled Lead Senior Accountant to enhance our dynamic team. This position is ideal for those with a strong background in public accounting and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize accounting principles to address diverse client needs with accuracy and innovation.
  • Compile intricate financial statements (Notice to Reader) for various clients.
  • Prepare individual (T1), trust (T3), and corporate (T2) tax filings.
  • Deliver comprehensive accounting solutions to clients.
  • Leverage technology to facilitate learning, knowledge sharing, and service enhancement.
  • Undertake additional related tasks as required.

Education and Professional Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • Completion of the CFE at a minimum.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Canadian public accounting, focusing on private companies in review engagements and NTR files.
  • Ability to research issues and provide sound recommendations based on applicable standards.
  • Expertise in preparing complex T1, T2, and T3 tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of ASPE and tax compliance/planning.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, and Taxprep.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional client service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and the community.
