Key Responsibilities- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and organize financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.
- Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently input financial data into accounting systems.
- Payment Processing: Assist with processing payments to vendors, suppliers, and other entities in a timely manner.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure that financial records align with bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Budgeting Support: Provide support in preparing and monitoring budgets by collecting and analyzing financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Administrative Tasks: Provide general administrative support, including organizing files, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
- Financial Procedures: Adhere to established financial procedures and guidelines to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Work with various departments, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, to support financial operations.
- Audit Support: Participate in audits by preparing necessary documents and providing assistance during the audit process.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on financial regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvements.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software.
- Soft Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with First Nations, clean Criminal Record and Child Intervention check.
