About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Livestock Labourer to join our team at True North Farm Ltd. As a key member of our farm team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals to promote a safe and healthy environment.
  • Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Handle animals with care and attention to detail to prevent injury or stress.
  • Monitor animal health and report any issues to the farm manager.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform animal grooming activities, including feeding and tending to animals.
  • Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving.
  • Track and report on current feed inventory to ensure optimal nutrition for our livestock.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
  • Maintain financial and production records to ensure accurate tracking of farm performance.

  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with varying weather conditions.
