About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Activity Leader to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Activity Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and inclusive environment for children aged 5-12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with a staff team to provide support and resources for children with diverse needs.
  • Provide individual support to children within the program setting when required.
  • Help build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children.
  • Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program.
  • Provide enhanced ratio to support all children in the program.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Experience working with children aged 5-12.
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED certification.
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance, and/or Nutrition an asset.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $21.00.
  • A permanent, part-time position with 30 hours of work per week.
  • A flexible schedule with shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:00am-9:00am and 2:00pm-6:00pm.
