Role Summary
The Director of Contract Management will lead a team dedicated to reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and interpreting contract terms to secure optimal conditions for Andritz, minimize project risks, and uphold our contractual rights. We seek a seasoned leader with extensive experience in EPC capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
This role encompasses three primary areas within our North American division:
Sales & Tendering:
- Lead a team of Contract Managers in proposal preparation, including contract redlines and internal approvals, and negotiate contracts with clients;
- Provide contractual guidance on escalated risks and commercial issues during the tendering and negotiation phases;
- Engage with proposal teams and Contract Managers during negotiations for significant projects.
Project Execution:
- Supervise contract management processes across business segments;
- Offer expertise in contract interpretation and advise project teams on managing contract deviations (e.g., change orders, claims, amendments);
- Support project teams and lead negotiations for major claims and change orders as necessary.
Administrative Duties:
- Establish annual goals and objectives for the department;
- Prepare resource planning for the team;
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members;
- Collaborate with HR on all personnel matters, including recruitment, departures, compensation, and career development;
- Lead, mentor, and develop the contract management team in partnership with HR.

- 10 to 15 years of experience in contract administration;
- A degree in Commerce, Administration, Engineering, or a related field;
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex supply and purchase agreements in project settings;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Expertise in contract drafting and negotiation;
- In-depth knowledge of business law, including commercial and contract principles;
- Experience in the hydroelectric or construction sectors is advantageous;
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
