We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Parksville area. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities, providing exceptional nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate.
- Valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as a negative TB skin test within one year and Hepatitis B.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
- Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
- Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
- Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
