We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs for construction projects, using measuring tools and software.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Survey building locations and levels, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Estimate costs and materials, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training and certifications are an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to instruct and supervise others.
  • Ability to estimate costs and materials, and to work within budget.
