Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In this role, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials. You will also be expected to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and fit and assemble components using hand and power tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent education
  • 2-3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
