About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Private Banker to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Private Banking Unit, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our affluent clients, providing them with exceptional customer service and tailored financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of high net worth clients, providing them with expert advice and guidance on their financial needs.
  • Develop and implement customized financial plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Participate in credit management of the unit's portfolio, ensuring that all loans and credit facilities are managed in accordance with Scotiabank's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of retail banking products, systems, and services, as well as commercial and retail credit principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • University or community college degree, preferably in a related field such as finance or business.
