Position Overview

Role Scope

The primary objective of the Regional Sales Representative (RSR) is to drive results that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. A proactive approach, combined with a competitive spirit and the ability to maintain focus on outcomes amid changing circumstances, is essential for success in this role at Expeditors.

The RSR coordinates the involvement of various stakeholders in our sales process, ensuring consistent revenue generation from new customers for our district office and the Expeditors network. The work environment is dynamic, offering opportunities for growth, recognition, and rewards based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

The following are the essential outcomes expected from a successful Regional Sales Representative:

  • Manage a designated territory while demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of potential clients and competitors.
  • Ensure timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Foster customer and branch relationships, collaborating with local and regional resources across Products, Services, Geography, and Knowledge Management.
  • Engage in developing value-added solutions for clients' logistics requirements, including support for presentations, diagrams, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assist in transitioning new accounts through client introductions, information exchange, and securing necessary documentation.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance sales skills and stay updated on Expeditors' Products and Services.
  • Involvement in local trade associations as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Undertake additional assignments as needed to support company objectives.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in both oral and written English.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team.
  • A sense of urgency in achieving goals.
  • Self-driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

  • Previous sales experience in the 3PL sector is advantageous.
  • Sales experience in the Oil and Energy sector is preferred.
