Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Course Production Associate to join our team at Trinity Western University. As a key member of our Online Learning and Instructional Technology team, you will play a critical role in the production of engaging online courses and learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, media specialists, and student workers to develop interactive and inquiry-based learning experiences that meet specified course learning outcomes.
  • Work with the media team to create, adapt, or use digital media resources to support student learning.
  • Ensure that course websites are functional and stable across devices and in low bandwidth contexts, in cooperation with the Senior Learning Technologist.
  • Provide efficient project management, documentation, and file management procedures.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with all stakeholders related to course production.
  • Collaborate with the Equity of Access office to support the development of a digital learning environment that is accessible and inclusive for all students and faculty.
Requirements
  • Expert working knowledge of Moodle and WordPress.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proven work experience as a Web Designer developing new and maintaining existing websites.
  • Knowledge of code repositories.
  • Experience in UX/UI design in higher education learning environments.
  • Familiarity with the roles of teaching and learning in an online educational context as supported in current research.
  • Awareness of intercultural relations and environments, cultural sensitivity, and international students.
  • Proficient in navigating and administering digital learning environments.
  • Ability to learn and engage with TWU Online's cloud-based digital workflow.
  • Able to provide support to instructors, subject matter experts, and instructional designers.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with limited direction.
  • Able to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service.
