We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cleaner/General Maintenance to join our team at Killam Apartment REIT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise contract cleaners and ensure they are meeting quality standards
  • Perform general maintenance and painting tasks as required
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including operating vacuum cleaners and removing waste
  • Wash windows and interior walls, clean washrooms, and empty trash cans
  • Sweep, mop, and scrub hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Report any deficiencies or maintenance issues to the Operations Manager for repair
  • Work effectively with the public in a shopping center environment

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work as a team and under minimal supervision
  • Proven communication skills, both written and oral
  • Effective skills and experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing an asset
  • Ability to spend long periods of time walking/standing
