About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at Homewood Health, a leading provider of mental health and addiction services. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our clients and contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient-centered recreation therapy programs that promote physical and emotional well-being.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling and coaching to patients and their families, and facilitate group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
  • Experience working with mental health and addiction populations.
  • CPR certification and registration with the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA) or equivalent.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
