Job Summary:

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team in Peterborough, Ontario. As a key member of our Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our nuclear fuel and fuel channel components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for complex equipment and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test procedures
  • Participate in design reviews and customer review meetings
  • Test and commission complex equipment and systems
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable company, technical, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
  • B.A.Sc. in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control/Automation or related discipline Engineering
  • Holds or working towards a current PEO license
  • 3 years' experience in design engineering in Nuclear, Aerospace, Transportation, Oil and Gas, Mining, or other highly regulated and process-based design
  • Experience with industrial automation technologies, low voltage power distribution and control circuits, control and power relays, cabling, junction boxes and penetrations, motors and motor controls, valves, sensors and feedback controls/signal conditioning
