Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish and implement efficient systems for managing food preparation, inventory, and supplies.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that customer feedback is acted upon.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, inventory, and staff performance.
    • Maintain accurate records of staff hours, attendance, and training.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.
  • Physical Demands
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
