Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Ensure that cargo is properly secured and unloaded at designated locations.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of your vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license.
  • Documentation Knowledge: Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, and trip reports.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail, and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication, flexibility, judgment, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
