Culinary Support Associate

Position Overview:
The Culinary Support Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of food services within The Royal Mental Health Centre. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to safe food handling protocols.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the food service area.
- Execute tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Uphold safety practices and policies in alignment with The Royal's standards.
- Contribute to a workplace that promotes anti-racism, discrimination, and harassment-free environments.
- Assist in meal preparation, including specialized therapeutic meals, and deliver them to designated areas.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Secondary School Diploma (or actively pursuing OSSD).
- Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, as well as following both written and verbal instructions.
- Must provide a satisfactory Police Records Check for vulnerable sectors.
- Completion of the Food Handler's Course is mandatory for employment.
Compensation: The hourly wage ranges from $27.24 to $27.63.
