Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Program Assistant to join our team at Beaver Bank-Monarch Drive Elementary. As an Educational Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism and other special requirements.
  • Assist with daily routines, such as toileting and personal care.
  • Support students with physiotherapy follow-up and other medical-related procedures.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and provide behaviour support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
Requirements
  • Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and perform light lifting tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform medium lifting tasks.
  • Trained or willing to be trained in toileting, personal care, and other related procedures.
Assets
  • Experience working with students with autism.
  • Related diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
