Strategic Sustainability Analyst

Join the Government of Northwest Territories in a critical role that advances the department's lands-related interests and promotes sustainable land use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on land use and management, supporting the development and implementation of the Land Use and Sustainability Framework.
  • Coordinate land use and management research and policy development on behalf of the GNWT and the Northwest Territories.
  • Develop and review lands policies and initiatives, as well as program/operational policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in environmental/resource management, land use planning, geography, public policy, public administration, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in policy and program development and analysis, with project management experience considered an asset.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary starting at $58.88 per hour (approximately $114,816 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
