Job Title: Physiotherapist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist II to join our Primary Care team at Northern Health Authority. As a Physiotherapist II, you will work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to develop and implement plans of care for patients in a variety of settings.

Job Summary:

The Physiotherapist II will provide competent, safe, and ethical care for patients and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, facilities, and communities. You will apply the principles of evidence-informed practice to achieve effective outcomes related to patient participation in valued activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and utilize appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Teach patients and their families and others both one-on-one and in groups.
  • Integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the public, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Resolve interpersonal differences and conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Organize work, set objectives and priorities, and achieve results.
  • Foster teamwork and a commitment to excellence in the provision of person-centered care.
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
  • Two (2) years' experience in acute care, long-term care, or community setting preferred.
  • Valid BC Driver's license where required.
