About the Organization:

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is on the lookout for an Associate Physician to join our Neurosurgery division. Be a part of our dedicated team at Vancouver General Hospital, where we strive to deliver outstanding healthcare services to our patients.

Role Overview:

  • Oversee the care of neurosurgical patients in pre-operative, post-operative, and non-operative settings with guidance.
  • Facilitate the daily management of neurosurgical patients within the hospital environment.
  • Formulate treatment strategies and execute necessary medical procedures under supervision.
  • Engage in effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to rounds, engage in professional development, and participate in quality enhancement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of postgraduate training as a medical specialist.
  • Certification from a recognized medical licensing examination.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Eligibility for registration with CPSBC.
  • ACLS certification is mandatory.
  • Capability to identify and manage perioperative complications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage for medical documentation.
