About the Role:
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our Transportation Services team as a Parking Control Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations on campus, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our parking facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce parking regulations on campus, issuing parking violation notices and written warnings as necessary;
- Provide exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, students, and visitors, answering questions and providing information about parking options and regulations;
- Work collaboratively with other teams to resolve parking-related issues and improve the overall parking experience;
- Operate a motorized vehicle to patrol parking areas and respond to incidents;
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance duties as required;
- Assist with cash handling and balancing duties;
- Qualify as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer to issue parking violation notices;
- Meet the physical demands of the role, working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of two years of experience in a customer service position involving public contact and cash handling;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Provincial Class "G" driver's license in good standing;
- Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
