Job Title: Tour Guide

Join Northern Tales Travel Services as a Tour Guide and embark on a journey of discovery and exploration. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading groups of travelers through various destinations, sharing your knowledge and passion for history, culture, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sightseeing or tour vehicles to transport clients to various locations.
  • Collect administration or entrance fees as required.
  • Co-ordinate recreation activities and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for clients.
  • Describe points of interest, answer questions, and provide information to clients.
  • Resolve itinerary and other problems that may arise during the tour.
  • Ensure and monitor luggage transfers to ensure clients' belongings are safely transported.
  • Assist clients with check-in procedures for accommodation and/or transportation.
  • Utilize microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors.
  • Co-ordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups.
  • Provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details to clients.
  • Sell souvenirs to clients as part of the tour experience.
  • Conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical, heritage, and other sites, answer inquiries, and provide information.
  • Transport or escort individuals or groups on tours of cities, waterways, and industrial and other establishments.
