About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at K & H Tile Inc. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles and other flooring materials in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
  • Tile Alignment: Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Grouting: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Tile Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
  • Underbed Installation: Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
  • Material Handling: Cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
  • Terra Surface Installation: Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
