As an Assistant Store Leader, you will play a crucial role in cultivating a team atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and positive relationships. In this position, you will support the Store Manager in guiding and leading the team to meet store objectives, which encompass sales and profit targets, recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to ensure the store meets company objectives and key performance indicators.
- Provide leadership in maintaining an operationally efficient business by adhering to company policies, procedures, loss prevention strategies, payroll management, reporting, and scheduling.
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and training top talent who are focused on sales, customer service, and fashion.
- Set a standard for The Torrid Connection and ensure the team delivers a shopping experience that fosters positive customer relationships and loyalty.
- Support the Store Manager in executing merchandise strategies while ensuring a clean, consistent, and inviting store environment that inspires customers to shop.
- Maintain effective communication with the Store Manager and District Manager.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of six months of experience in specialty or apparel retail management with a proven track record of leading teams to success and achieving sales performance.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment while remaining committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Retail and fashion are ever-evolving, so adaptability and flexibility in response to various situations, challenges, job responsibilities, and work schedules are vital to your success.
- A strong passion for fashion and staying informed about current trends.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to stand and walk during scheduled shifts.
- Capability to pack and unpack shipments, arrange and move store fixtures, and lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach for merchandise using ladders, step stools, and other retrieval tools.
