We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Commercial Financing department as a Director. This role requires a strong background in commercial real estate lending, with expertise in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute strategies to grow the commercial mortgage portfolio, while ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.
- Lead a team of analysts in underwriting, credit evaluation, and loan processing, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality loan decisions.
- Collaborate with clients, appraisers, engineers, lawyers, and other stakeholders to gather due diligence and advance loan transactions.
- Analyze financial information on commercial properties, including rent rolls, operating statements, and financial/net worth statements, to determine loan size, terms, and conditions.
- Review third-party reports, including appraisals, environmental reports, and engineering reports, to ensure compliance with investor requirements and loan terms.
- Prepare loan summaries, financial analyses, and credit documents to support loan approval decisions.
- Coordinate with funders, investors, and other third-party consultants to ensure loan conditions are met.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners to drive business growth and revenue.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, with a strong background in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk management.
- Undergraduate degree in a finance or real estate-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of applicable real estate lending regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Advanced PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial analysis software.
