About the Role

Xanadu Bath Inc is seeking a skilled Retail Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring adequate stock levels, and negotiating prices and terms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing
    • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
    • Review requirements of the establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
    • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
    • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
  • Business Acumen
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's business needs and goals.
    • Apply business acumen to make informed decisions about procurement and inventory management.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
    • Collaborate with the team to achieve business objectives and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
