About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Aplin and Associates Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Statement Preparation: Prepare statements of earnings for employees, including gross and net salaries, deductions, and other relevant information.
  • Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including maintaining filing systems and performing data entry.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and balance period-end reports, reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements, and compile statistics and reports as required.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the preparation of T4 statements and other required documents.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Human resources software, MS Excel, accounting software, and excellent written communication skills.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, organized, reliable, and a team player.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Temporary position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
