We are seeking a highly skilled Co-op Student to join our Computational Biology team at Westfield Electroplating Company, Inc. as a key member of our Multispecific Antibody Therapeutics team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms for the analysis of large-scale protein datasets.
  • Train, validate, and fine-tune machine learning models to extract meaningful patterns and insights from biological data.
  • Implement strategies for model validation and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand biological problems and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.
  • Document code, methodologies, and results comprehensively to facilitate knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
  • Present findings and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computational biology, machine learning, computer science or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and bash.
  • Proven experience with machine learning frameworks and proficiency in relevant libraries.
  • Experience with using large language models.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate biological questions into machine learning solutions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • General knowledge about protein biochemistry is an asset.
