Join Our Team as a Lead Salesforce Engineer
Your Role
At BDO Canada LLP, we are expanding our Salesforce practice and are in search of a Lead Salesforce Engineer to enhance our digital transformation initiatives. This role is pivotal in driving successful Salesforce projects and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a lead developer within a collaborative team, focusing on Salesforce projects utilizing APEX, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
- Facilitate Salesforce integrations with external systems, employing various integration methodologies.
- Establish Salesforce security measures through both declarative and programmatic approaches.
- Configure standard Salesforce functionalities and automate processes declaratively.
- Adhere to Salesforce best practices across all configurations and automations.
- Implement best practices throughout the Salesforce development lifecycle, including unit testing and release management.
- Collaborate with both technical and functional teams to gather requirements and validate solution designs.
- Conduct peer code evaluations and mentor junior developers.
- Stay updated on the latest Salesforce product developments and learning opportunities.
Success Metrics
- Contribute to the advancement of BDO's service offerings and industry knowledge.
- Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in your work through continuous professional development.
- Propose and implement enhancements to improve engagement quality and efficiency.
- Maintain open communication with leadership regarding performance and development, while attracting top talent.
- Support revenue growth by referring clients to additional services.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development across various clouds.
- Proficient in Salesforce configuration and development, including APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce development standards, best practices, and release strategies.
- Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns and data management techniques.
- Knowledge of Salesforce security design and configurations.
- Experience in delivering Salesforce solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
Education and Certifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
- Certifications such as Salesforce App Builder and Platform Developer I are advantageous.
