About the Role

NÖORD TECHNOLOGIES is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions for our wireless products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and development of our wireless products based on our proprietary protocol
  • Develop new features for our products in response to customer needs and business requirements
  • Improve the reliability, performance, and maintainability of our products
  • Support new hardware revisions
  • Support certification activities
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Write software specifications and design documents
  • Act as a technical resource for internal and external clients
  • Occasionally participate in on-site testing exercises

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • Experience in designing and developing real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to connect and configure various networking components, including Ethernet switches and VPN/VLAN routers
  • Practical knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and/or JTAG debugging tools
  • Strong C/C++ skills
  • Strong GIT skills
  • Ability to read and understand hardware schematics and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of VxWorks, Linux embedded, or other RTOS
  • Knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/x (WLAN), a plus
  • Knowledge of Qualcomm/Atheros ath9k technology, a plus
  • Knowledge of embedded processors (e.g., ARM, PowerPC, MIPS), a plus
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (Ethernet, WLAN, WIFI, TCP/IP, IPsec VPN, VLAN, FTP, SSH, SNMP, HTTP, NTP, and DHCP) and packet inspection and analysis, a plus
  • Ability to organize work and deliver results on time
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated, works with minimal supervision, and pays attention to details
