We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Automotive Mechanic and 3rd/4th Year Apprentices to join our team at Laprairie. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including gas, diesel, light, and heavy-duty units.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues.
- Test and verify the operation of gas components and ensure vehicle serviceability.
- Operate and diagnose engines powered by diesel or gasoline.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as federal, provincial, and local codes and regulations.
- Ensure that required tools, parts, and supplies are available for each job performed.
- Complete required service and equipment performance reports.
- Trade Certification/Red Seal as an Automotive Mechanic.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Automotive Mechanic.
- Class 5 driver's license at minimum – Class 3 preferred – and a CVIP license.
- Understanding of computer testing technologies.
- Ability to lift heavy machinery.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment.
- Welding and cutting abilities.
- Ability to work after-hours if required.
- Good communication skills.
