Job Summary:

Laprairie is seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of equipment manuals, technical specifications, and repair procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Trade certification as an Automotive Mechanic (Red Seal) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Class 5 driver's license (minimum) or Class 3 preferred.
  • CVIP license.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
