About the Opportunity

Northeastern University's Khoury College of Engineering invites applications for a non-Tenure-Track faculty position in Vancouver, Canada. As a Teaching Professor, you will report directly to the MGEN Executive Program Director and be responsible for teaching, advising, and curriculum development.

We seek a candidate who is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, promoting experiential learning, and contributing to the college and university through service. The selected candidate will have a terminal credential in a related engineering field, 10+ years of experience in higher education and/or a relevant engineering field, and expertise working with diverse student populations.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant industry experience and/or research in areas such as blockchain, machine learning, eco-scale application engineering, cloud computing, software-driven networking, and digital twin technology. They will also have a commitment to teaching excellence, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct and prepare students to improve relevance, rigor, and quality through teachings and course offerings
  • Counsel students on academic advising and other academic matters
  • Respond to unit and student inquiries
  • Develop course content, prepare academic activities, and course delivery materials to support course objectives
Requirements

PhD in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field is required by the appointment start date. The expected hiring range for Assistant Teaching Professor is CAD $103,660 to CAD $127,000, based upon the position's scope and responsibilities.
