Electrical Maintenance Technician

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing electrical preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality of production and electrical machinery. This role operates primarily during day shifts and includes the responsibility of championing TPM (Total Productive Manufacturing) initiatives throughout the facility. TPM is a strategic initiative aimed at empowering team members to take ownership of their equipment and make informed decisions to minimize operational losses. Comprehensive TPM training will be provided upon hiring.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Respond promptly to production requests to maintain operational efficiency of equipment in a safe manner. Complete assigned electrical and mechanical work orders, including preventative maintenance tasks as directed by the maintenance team leader. Document all issues or observations that require the attention of the team leader. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures across various machinery. Select, install, and repair busways, conduits (both flexible and rigid), cable troughs, and communication wiring. Interpret and modify ladder logic, distribution, and fluid power schematics. Collaborate on mechanical troubleshooting efforts.TPM Duties
Manage the PM systems for the production line, concentrating on Defect Management and Breakdown Reduction, followed by Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. Support and lead initiatives aimed at loss reduction. Achieve significant improvements in Planned and Unplanned Downtime, while overseeing: Maintenance & Repair costs for the line, % Planned Maintenance, and % of PMs completed for Breakdown reduction. Mentor and develop Shift Teams by acting as a technical coach and resource. Actively engage in daily line meetings and the execution of the daily action plan. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Industrial Electrician certification (442a). At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably within the food sector. Proficient in working with Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs. Familiarity with Fanuc Robots is advantageous. Refrigeration Operators class B certification is a plus.
