Work Environment:

This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel required to various job sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful completion of technical designs for pipelines and facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead the technical design process, perform calculations, draft essential documents, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Offer expert guidance and recommendations on process design documents, ensuring adherence to CCI Inc.'s codes and standards.
  • Engage in various projects including pipeline mechanical engineering design, integrity replacements, and metering site evaluations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project deliverables such as engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and feasibility assessments.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and participate in project HAZOP meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Canadian Oil & Gas industry and relevant codes.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior engineering staff.
  • Coordinate technical efforts across various disciplines, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized templates and project documents to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure comprehensive project oversight.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer designation with APEGA and EGBC; additional licensure is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Process Engineering role.
  • Proficient in piping codes and the design of gas and liquid pipeline systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.

  • Proficient technical writing skills.
  • Professional licensure with other provincial associations is a plus.
