Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Western Star Trucks. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse staff and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processing and inspection of incoming orders, identifying and documenting any damages as required.
  • Ensure that warehouse staff complete their tasks in a timely and priority-driven manner.
  • Utilize available tools and technologies to improve efficiency and process.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement to ensure all warehouse employees follow established processes and procedures.
  • Create and manage cycle count schedules to ensure accurate inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and supplies are available and in good working condition.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in back-order filling and maintenance.
  • Support retail area maintenance and other warehouse-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift heavier items on a regular basis.
  • Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Forklift certification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
