SUMMARY:

At Western Star Trucks, we're dedicated to helping others succeed. As a Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include managing warehouse staff, overseeing inventory control, and implementing processes to improve efficiency.

KEY POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Supervise warehouse staff and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Manage the warehouse budget and ensure cost-effective operations.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse management role.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in inventory management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
