This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a highly skilled and experienced nursing professional to lead and manage the Nursing Support Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting excellence in nursing practice and quality of patient care, and will work closely with the Senior Director, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and the C&W Professional Practice Portfolio and Director of Professional Practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Nursing Support Services team, providing guidance and support to staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote excellence in nursing practice and quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care services.
- Provide education and training to staff on best practices and new developments in nursing care.
- Conduct quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the Nursing Support Services team and its services.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.
- Eligible for registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) and hold current certification in CPR.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
